3/98 Cart shed, byre, milking parlour & privy/coalhouse, 10m south-east of Claphow Farmhouse

GV II

Cart shed, byre and milking parlour, early Cl9; privy/coalhouse mid/late C19. Dressed sandstone; hipped clay pantile roofs with stone ridge copings. L-shaped plan with privy/coalhouse adjoining west angle of byre. Boarded stable doors in north-west side of byre and cart shed. Segment-arched openings in south-east face of cart shed. Later outbuildings adjoining south-east side of cart shed and south-east and south-west sides of milking parlour, are not of interest. Largely disused at time of survey. Included for group value.
