Description
The building is a byre and stable-cartshed located to the north of Low Farmhouse, dating from the late 19th century for the byre and the early 19th century for the stable-cartshed. It is constructed from coursed tooled sandstone and features pantiled roofs with stone ridges, copings, and kneelers. The structure is single-storey. The byre has a stable door on the right and inserted garage doors on the left. The stable-cartshed to the north is stepped up the slope in three stages, with boarded plain and stable doors on the left. The right side is partly open-fronted and includes a cart door, while the roof is hipped at the right end. This building is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse. Extensions to the east are not of special interest.
