Description
This stable or byre, located to the north-west of Low Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed tooled sandstone and features a pantiled roof with stone copings and kneelers, along with a brick stack. The building is single-storey and extends along the hillside, showcasing four stable doors. There is a brick chimney at one end near the farmhouse, which may indicate the presence of a tack room. Additionally, there is a lean-to extension at this end, with more stable doors located at the rear, above a loading platform.
