Description
The stables east of Claphow Farmhouse date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed of dressed sandstone and feature clay pantile roofs with stone ridge and gable copings. The building is a single-storey, L-shaped range. It has boarded stable doors with alternating windows, which are partially glazed and have hit-and-miss detailing. These stables are included in the listing for their group value with the adjacent farmhouse.
