Description
Marsh Farmhouse and Farm Cottage is a late 18th-century farmhouse with a slightly later farm cottage and an early 19th-century extension on the right. The buildings may include remnants of the 13th-century chapel of St. Sepulchre. The structure is primarily made of brick, with the rear wall of the cottage rendered. It features clay pantile roofs and stone gable copings on the farmhouse.
The farmhouse is two stories high with three bays and has a central porch added in the late 20th century. It has renewed sash windows with glazing bars, plastered and painted reveals, sills, and wedge lintels, although the middle window on the first floor is blocked. The adjoining cottage is two stories with one window, featuring a boarded door on the left and altered windows in the original openings, with brick flat arches on the ground floor. The eaves are finished with stepped brick.
There is a single-storey lean-to outhouse extension with an altered door and end stacks. The farmhouse has blocked segment-headed garret lights in the returns and scattered fenestration at the rear. The porches at the front and rear are not of significant interest.
