Description
This is a group of planned farm buildings from the mid 19th century, located approximately 40 meters north of Green Hills Farmhouse. The structures are built from dressed sandstone and sandstone rubble, featuring margin-tooled dressings and clay pantile roofs. The layout is in an 'E' shape.
The north range consists of a barn and cart shed with a granary above. It includes stable doors and boarded openings for the granary. The cart shed at the eastern end has a round-headed opening with voussoirs on its south face. The stable ranges form the east and west wings, each with stable doors and boarded openings.
The middle range serves as a byre, which has a round-headed opening with voussoirs in the center of its east face and a similar doorway in the north gable end. All buildings feature kingpost roof trusses. There is a brick single-storey lean-to extension on the north side of the barn/cart shed, but this is not of interest. At the time of the survey, the buildings were partly disused.
