Description

The farm buildings to the west of the house date from the early 19th century and were planned as a group. The west range and the western part of the north range were rebuilt in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble with cut quoins and dressings, featuring tooled and margined stonework on the mid-19th century sections. The roofs of the south and east ranges are made of stone slate, while the north and west ranges have Welsh slate roofs. The buildings form a rectangular yard that opens at the northeast corner.

The north range is divided into two parts: the left section is two stories high and includes a pair of segmental arches and a stable door, with a 20th-century pitching door flanked by part-slatted windows above. The one-story section features two boarded doors and two part-slatted windows, all set in alternating-block surrounds. The west range, which serves as a barn, is two stories tall and includes a stable door and a boarded door, along with a contemporary outshut at the rear. The south range consists of shelter sheds with an eight-bay arcade of segmental brick arches, some of which are blocked. The east range is a stable with a boarded door on the gabled left return, and a tall rubble wall with a boarded door connects the stable to the house. There are remains of a later stone building in the yard, as well as 20th-century timber sheds, which are not of interest.
