Description
Houtley Farmhouse is a house, formerly a pair, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with cut dressings and features a slate roof with rendered stacks. The building has two storeys and five symmetrical bays, with raised tooled-and-margined quoins. The second bay contains a four-panel door, while the fourth bay has a flush-panelled door, both of which are topped with plain overlights. The windows are 16-pane sash types, and all openings are framed with raised moulded surrounds. The eaves are supported by square brackets, and the gables are coped. There are end and ridge stacks. To the right, there is an attached privy with a segmental arch made of brick voussoirs.
