Description
Swallowship House is an original 18th-century farmhouse that has been incorporated into an early 19th-century rebuilding. The building is two storeys high and features six windows, with a large two-storey bow on the south side. The front is rendered and covered with small old slates. There is a large central panelled chimney stack and a smaller one on the north gable, which has a coped verge and kneelers. A pilaster strip below the large chimney divides the house into two sections. The main part of the house has late glazed sash windows with raised surrounds. The central entrance features part-glazed doors with a rectangular fanlight above and an enlarged window to the right. Scalloped rainwater heads are also present.
