Description

The garden house and attached garden walls, located 40 metres south-east of White House Farmhouse, date from the mid-18th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a stone slate roof. The garden house has a square plan and is an incomplete part of a larger intended building. It is attached to the west side of a trapezoidal walled garden.

The north elevation features boarded double doors under a segmental head, along with a first-floor boarded door set in an alternating-block surround. The hipped roof has moulded corbels positioned diagonally at the corners of the eaves. The returns display Venetian windows on the first floor, which are mostly blocked except for a part-slatted window inserted on the west side.

The tall garden walls have flat coping and are slightly lower on the south side, where there are two plain openings. A doorway next to the garden house has a stone surround with a narrow chamfer.
