Description

Stable Cottage is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of rubble with roughly-shaped quoins and some cut dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof and yellow brick stacks. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a boarded door beneath a rustic porch, flanked by 16-pane sash windows. Above, there are 12-pane sashes, with the central window set in a smaller opening. All windows have been renewed and are set in openings with cut lintels and sills, showing traces of earlier, wider openings. The house has end stacks and a low forecourt wall with flat coping. This building is included for its group value.
