Description
The garden walls and gate piers located to the south and west of North Farmhouse date back to the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble with cut stone piers and dressings. The south wall features gabled coping that ramps up on either side of large square piers, which have chamfered bases, attached jambs, and swept moulded caps. To the east, the coping ramps up to connect with a taller east wall that includes a doorway with a re-used doorhead dated 1717 as the inner lintel. To the west, the wall has several blocked openings and connects to the west wall, which has roughly-arched coping and returns east to join the west end of the farmhouse.
