Description
The garden walls located to the west and south-west of Southside Farmhouse date from the 18th century. The north wall is constructed of brick in an irregular stretcher bond, while the west wall features tooled squared stone with rubble at the rear and cut dressings. The walls form an L-shape, with the north wall standing 3 metres high and topped with flat stone coping. This wall connects to the west end of the farmhouse and includes pilasters on its external face. At the west end, there is a short L-shaped spur extending to the north, while the main wall continues south. Midway along the wall, there is a boarded door set within a tooled-and-margined alternating-block surround.
