Description
The garden wall and attached privy located to the north-west of Sturton Grange Farmhouse date from the late 18th century, with the privy added in the 19th century. The wall is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall Bond 1 and 5, featuring a rubble rear face and south return, along with cut dressings.
Standing at 2 metres high, the wall extends west from the west outbuilding range and is topped with large flat slabs as coping. There is a boarded door situated near the east end of the wall. At the west end, a short return extends southward, which includes a door leading to the pent-roofed privy. This structure is included for its group value with the surrounding buildings.
