Description
The garden wall, archways, and garden house date from the mid-18th century and were altered in the 19th century. They are constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings. The small square garden house originally had a tumbled gable roof, which has been changed to a monopitch roof with dogtooth eaves. One end features a semi-circular headed doorway with a rusticated surround, while the side has a blocked door that now holds a two-light window with a segmental head. The attached gateway to the right incorporates reused 12th-century voussoirs, scalloped capitals, and reveals. The wall to the left slopes down and includes a semi-circular headed opening. At the far end, there is a second doorway that also reuses 12th-century ashlar details.
