Description
The main farmbuilding group to the west of Healey Cote Farmhouse consists of a foldyard group of farm buildings. The north range dates from around 1700, while the side ranges were built in the early 18th century. The north and west ranges are constructed of squared stone, while the east range is made of squared rubble with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings. The roofs are covered with Welsh slate, except for the west part of the north range, which has pantiles.
The north range is a single storey with four irregular bays. It features a stable door, a boarded door, a boarded window, and a slit vent in the main part, along with two cart entrances with timber lintels located in the lower left bay and the right end bay behind the east range. The east range is also single-storey, except for a loft in the right (downhill) part, and includes a stable door, three boarded doors, a part-slatted window set in a blocked doorway, a slatted window, a slit vent, and a part-slatted loft window. There is an external stone stair leading to a boarded door on the right return. The shorter west range features a stable door flanked by slit vents and has raised reverse-stepped gable coping on the left return.
