Description

WALLINGTON DEMESNE FRONT ROW, Cambo NZ 0285 18/171 Stable Range to the north of No. I GV II Stables, c.1740 with minor alterations c.1880. Squared stone with dressings, slate roof. Elevation to yard 1 storey + attics, 7 irregular bays. Chamfered doorways in bays I (with boarded door), 4 (altered door) and 7 (stable door re-set in blocked segmental-arched cart entrance). Sliding sashes without glazing bars and a boarded window,in old stone surrounds, the latter in gabled half-dormer-in bay 2; inserted C19 window in bay 6. Right gable has moulded kneelers and overlapped slab coping; stepped rendered ridge stack. 3-step mounting block to right of door in bay I. Rear elevation shows boarded door in chamfered surround and 2 late C19 sashes.
