WALLINGTON DEMESNE CAMBO Forge House

(Formerly listed as Smithy adjacent to West End)

GV II Smithy, C18, altered and north range built c.1880. Squared stone with tooled dressings, north range tooled stone with rock-faced dressings; slate roof. L-plan. South elevation in two parts: left section one storey, two bays; Yorkshire sash windows. Taller one-storey right section, has three blacksmith's windows in right part of facade, the central set in old chamfered doorway. Gables with moulded kneelers and overlapped slab coping; stepped and corniced ridge and right end stacks. North range set back to right, lower bay to far right, with similar gables and ridge stack.
