Description
The stable to the northeast of Littlehoughton Hall is a stable range, likely built in the early 19th century, but it includes older materials. The north wall is made of roughly-coursed rubble with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, while the south wall features snecked rubble, except for large squared stonework at the western end. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The north side is a single storey with three wide bays. There is a boarded double door near the center, flanked by part-slatted windows; to the left is a stable door, and near the right end are three small casements set in alternating-block surrounds. The left return displays boarded double doors within an alternating-block surround. The rear elevation reveals older masonry near the left end, a near-center boarded door with paired six-pane casements on the left, and slit vents to the right. This building is included for its group value.
