Description
The Goslings is a house built in the late 18th century and extended in the mid 19th century. The older section is constructed from rubble and rendered, featuring cut quoins and dressings. The 19th-century extension is made of a mix of limestone and whinstone rubble, with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings. The roof is covered with Scottish slate on the older part and Welsh slates on the extension, with old brick stacks on the original section.
The building has two storeys and three slightly irregular bays. There is a flush-panelled door located to the right of centre, and the windows are 12-pane sash types set in raised stone surrounds. The gables are coped and supported by small moulded kneelers, with banded end stacks. The lower 19th-century bay to the left features 4-pane and 2-pane casements, with paired 4-pane casements above, all in alternating-black surrounds and a coped end gable. The rear of the main part displays similar window arrangements to the front.
