Description

No. 8 St Mary's Chare is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. It is constructed of painted brick with stone lintels and cills, topped with a slate roof. The windows are late glazed sash types. On the ground floor, there is a blocked shop window to the right and a blocked door in the centre, with a doorway to the right. To the left, there is an original bowed shop window with glazing bars. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 19A (odd) and Nos 2 to 8 (even), as well as Nos 16 to 20 (even) and No 4 Meal Market, with No 1 being of local interest.
