No. 4 Market Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. The structure is made of painted brick and is accented with stone quoins, window heads, cills, and a moulded cornice. It has sash windows with marginal glazing. To the left, there is a small shop window framed by a shop door and a central private door; these three elements are unified by a common bracketed hood supported by four consoles. The shop window and door are adorned with decorative cast iron grating. The private door consists of six panels. The roof has cement verges, and there are glazing bar sash windows at the rear. Nos. 2 to 26 (even) form a group, with Nos. 2 and 10 to 16 being of local interest.
