Description
Nos 20 and 21 Market Place are 18th-century buildings that stand three storeys tall and feature three windows. They are constructed from coursed dressed rubble and have a moulded cornice. The slate roof is topped with short brick chimneys. The buildings have glazing bar sash windows, and the entrance is off-centre with a rectangular light above it. On either side of the entrance, there are mid to late 19th-century shop fronts that include arched windows and doors, with the door on the left being recessed. At the rear, facing Church Row, there is a low three-storey brick workshop with four windows and a pantile slate roof, which also has two brick chimneys. A continuous timber lintel runs over the ground floor openings. St Andrew's Church, along with the listed buildings in the Market Place, forms a group, with Nos 8, 10, and 1 being of local interest.
