Description

The Pearson and Potts headstones, located approximately 5 yards west of the Church of St. Mary, are three notable memorials. The first headstone commemorates John Pearson, his wife Isabell, and their children, with various dates from 1736. It features a scrolled pedimented top adorned with a shell and angels in the corners, along with an inscription in a cartouche. The second headstone is for John Potts, dated 1796, and also has a scrolled pedimented top, embellished with an angel, festoon, and symbols representing death and eternity.
