Description

The gatepiers and garden wall to the east of The Old Rectory were built in the early 18th century. The structure is made of brick laid in English Garden Wall Bond, with ashlar piers. The gatepiers are square, featuring a bold cornice and topped with pyramidal caps that have diamond-shaped finials. The wall stands approximately 6 feet high and extends about 30 yards in length.
