Description

The Seven Stars Public House is an early 19th-century building located on the south side of Main Street in Ponteland. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a roof made of pantiles and stone slates. The building has three storeys and is divided into three bays, with a two-storey, one-bay addition on the left side.

A stone porch, added in the 1930s, has a two-leaf door set within an architrave. The ground and first floors have tripartite sash windows, while the second floor is fitted with six-pane sashes. The roof is gabled and has a renewed brick stack at the left end and an older corniced brick stack on the right.

There are 20th-century additions to the rear of the building, but these are not considered to be of special interest.
