Description

The Hare and Hounds Inn dates from the late 18th century and was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of squared stone with tooled dressings, and has a hipped roof covered in green patterned fishscale slates, with a brick stack to the rear. The inn is two storeys high and has two bays. The entrance has a six-panel door surmounted by a patterned overlight with alternating jambs. To the left of the door is a carriage entrance with a timber lintel, and to the right, an altered sash window with a slightly projecting sill. There are two similar windows above. The building is included on the list for its group value.
