Description
The Elm Tree Inn is an inn built in the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features dressed stone and a stone slate roof, and has a central staircase plan. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The entrance, located left of centre, has a plain surround and a pedimented hood, leading to a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above. To the right, there is another entrance with a plain surround and a round head, which leads to a plank door. The inn has two tripartite windows on the ground floor and two on the upper floor, all with recessed flat faced mullions, fixed lights, and sashes that include glazing bars. There is also a single light window in the centre of the upper floor, featuring sashes with glazing bars. The right-hand gable end has a ridge stack, and there is a small eaves stack located slightly right of centre.
