Description
Embsay Station Signal Box is a signal box built around 1923. It features a timber construction with a slate hipped roof and stands two storeys tall. The ground floor is clad in weatherboarding, and there is an external wooden ladder leading to the upper floor, which has plain balusters and handrails. The entrance door on the gable end is half-glazed and includes six fixed-pane lights; there are two similar lights to the left and one to the right. The left-hand return, which faces the track, has six similar lights, with the central two forming a horizontal sliding sash. The upper floor has a balcony with simple iron balusters and a handrail. Inside, the signal box retains its frame and levers.
