Description

The Old Engine House is a stone building dating from 1856, as indicated by the inscription "S R 1856" on the datestone at the rear. It features a slate roof with eaves supported by paired blocks and has quoins. The building has two round-arched entrances adorned with rusticated voussoirs, along with a wide round-arched window. At the east end, there is a small cottage that has a modern door and window on the ground floor, with a round-arched window above. The wet gable end includes a small-paned round-arched window. Additionally, there is a low wing at the west end that has a stone chimney.
