Description

Peth Head House is a house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, located on the south side of The Peth in Allendale. It is constructed of rubble with stone quoins and dressings, and has a stone slate roof with a corniced stone stack on the right gable. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The central doorway has been renewed and features a latticed overlight and alternating jambs. The windows are sash windows, which have lost their original glazing bars, and have tooled lintels and sills. A single window on the first floor has been blocked. A large, blocked segmental-headed arch is present at the rear of the building.
