Description
Trinity Methodist Church is a chapel built in 1875, as indicated by the foundation stones. It is constructed of squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof. The gabled front facing the street has a central section that is slightly set forward, which includes double doors beneath a margined fanlight in a round-headed arch. This entrance is flanked by Tuscan pilasters that support a cornice. Above the doors, there is a triple sash window, and the bay is capped by a moulded cornice. The ground floor and gallery are flanked by sash windows, all of which have margined sashes and 19th-century coloured glass under round-headed arches, with slightly projecting sills supported by corbels. The foundation stones with the date are located beneath the ground floor windows. The gable is coped and topped with an obelisk finial. Inside, there are many contemporary fittings, including a gallery with shutters.
