Description
This milepost, located approximately 200 yards north of the Tillmouth Park Hotel, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a short, fluted design with an oval top that has two oval facets. One facet is inscribed with "COR" (Cornhill) indicating a distance of 3 miles, while the other facet reads "BER" (Berwick) indicating a distance of 10 miles.
