Description
The Chapel of St Cuthbert is a ruined chapel located in Cornhill-on-Tweed, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a chamfered plinth, though it is currently roofless. The chapel is designed in the Gothick style and consists of three bays. It has pointed-arched windows with sills, moulded surrounds, and dripstones. The east and west sides have similar windows and a west doorway. The east gable contains a quatrefoil slit.
Inside, the chapel is divided into a smaller west room and a larger east room by a cross wall that includes an arched doorway. The openings feature brick rere arches, and some medieval stone has been reused in the walls.
