Description

This milepost, located approximately 200 yards north-west of Quarry Cottage, dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. It features a short fluted design with an oval top that has two oval facets. One side is inscribed with "COR" for Cornhill, and the other side reads "BER" for Berwick, indicating a distance of 1 12 miles.
