Description
This range of farm buildings, located 20 metres north-east of Portgate House, dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with tooled dressings and features Welsh slate roofs. The cartshed and granary section has an arcade of three segmental arches with raised keystones, although two of these are concealed by a 20th-century shed. Above the arches, there are two windows, and the gables display raised reverse-stepped coping. On the left side, there is a stone staircase leading to a boarded door framed by an alternating-block surround. To the right, there is a lower shelter shed with four bays, which includes a wide blocked opening and three segmental arches, with the first arch being blocked. The left gable is coped. An attached 20th-century shed to the south-west is not of interest.
