Description
Whittingham Fell is a cottage and byre dating from around 1800. It is constructed from roughly-squared stone with tooled quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring a brick stack. The building stands two storeys tall and has two wide bays. The cottage on the right has a doorway surrounded by alternating blocks and a window to the left with a tooled lintel and a slightly-projecting sill. There is a similar but smaller window above, although both windows have lost their carpentry. The byre on the left features a pair of segmental arches and has a hipped roof with a small central ridge stack. Inside the cottage, there is a plain stone fireplace. At the time of the survey, the building was derelict but holds important landscape value.
