Description
Dating to the early 19th century, 16-20 Bailiffgate comprises a terrace of three and four-windowed buildings, originally intended as a pair. The facades are constructed of ashlar, with a slate roof punctuated by two ridge chimneys. The windows are sash windows, with later glazing. Number 20 features a segmental-arched coach arch leading to a through passage, with a doorway within the passage. Number 18 has a central doorway alongside a through passage door to the right. The property is included on the list primarily for its group value. A garden wall situated between numbers 20 and 22 exhibits some noteworthy stonework.
