Description
Nos 5 and 7 Bailiffgate is an early to mid-19th century building that stands two storeys high and features three windows, along with a large annexe to the east. The front is made of ashlar stone and has a chamfered eaves band with a kneeler leading to a coped gable on the left side. The roof is slate with ashlar chimneys at the gable ends. The windows are late glazed sash types. There is a central doorway topped with a hood mould, featuring a bit panel door with a rectangular light above it. The annexe to the east includes a large coach arch with double doors and a Tudor hood mould, which is linked to a string course above a three-light window, also with a hood mould. The parapet has saddleback coping that is higher over the archway.
