Description

Nos 1A and 1B Bailiffgate are 18th-century buildings with brick fronts set on a rubble base. They rise three storeys and feature four windows. The slate roof has brick gable end chimneys. The buildings have late glazed sash windows with flush framed boxes and segmental arches above them. There are wide steps leading to the paired doorways; No 1A is quoined and lower than No 1B. Both doorways have flush six-panel doors with stone lintels, and No 1B includes a rectangular light above its door.
