Description
Nos 1 and 3 Llawr Pentre in Old Colwyn are two-storey buildings featuring roughcast render over stone and slate roofs with end wall stacks. They have a four-window range. No 1 is longer in plan and has a doorway on the left with a 4-pane sash window next to it. There is another ground floor window, and both upper windows are 16-pane sashes. The lower openings have raised plaster architraves with angled heads. An extension to the left of the doorway, likely added in the later 19th century, is rendered with painted brick quoins and also two storeys, continuing the same roof-line. This extension has openings only in the gable wall, featuring paired wide 6-pane sash windows on the ground floor and a narrow 4-pane sash window above. No 3 has a round-arched doorway with a radial fanlight to the right, with the door itself being renewed. It also has 16-pane sash windows with shallow segmentally arched heads on each floor.
