Description
Nos 1 and 2 Wellington Place are a pair of two-storey houses, each featuring two windows. They are constructed of stone with a slate roof, which has moulded stone stacks at each end. The front elevation faces south-west and is made of dressed stone arranged in regular courses, with larger blocks used for the architraves and quoins. Each house has twelve-pane sash windows set in openings with slightly cambered heads. The inner bays on the ground floor have round-headed and pedimented doorcases with capped pilasters, plain semi-circular fanlights, and six-panelled doors. The ends and rear of the houses are built of rubble, with dressed stone used for the quoins and architraves. At the rear, each house features a catslide dormer with modern casement glazing and two twelve-pane sash windows on the first floor. The ground floors have lean-to additions. There is also a contemporary one-storey outbuilding located at the rear of No 1.
