Description
Nos. 1 and 3 The Cathedral Green are a pair of houses built from coursed rock-faced greenstone, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The return gable wall is rendered. These two-storey houses each have an attic and consist of two bays, featuring a narrow entrance bay on the outside and a wider central bay for the main rooms. The layout is double depth with a rear service wing. The entrance includes a plain panelled door with a paired light above it. The ground floor has a three-light mullion-and-transom window, while the upper floor features a two-light window, with a single window above the doors. All windows are plate glass sashes. Each house also has an eaves dormer with a paired window and a hipped roof, along with a large central brick chimney stack. The rear elevation has not been seen. The right-hand entrance has a rendered gable wall. The interior has not been inspected during the resurvey.
