Description

The building at 6 High Street is a three-storey structure, originally built as a two-storey building with a loft above. It features thick stone rubble walls that are colour washed over rendering and has a Welsh slate gabled roof. The front of the building has three bays and includes a later two-storey lean-to addition at the south-west end.

On the street elevation, there are 2-light casement windows on the first and second floors, with one window at either end on the second floor and three on the first floor. The first-floor windows have 3 + 3 pane casements, while the second-floor windows have 4 + 4 panes. The ground floor includes a sash window with glazing bars and horns on the left side, which has 4 over 4 panes. The centre features a doorway with a flat dripstone, and on the right side, there is a shop window with 3 panes over 2, alongside a part-glazed door. The building has a low pitch roof and retains a chimney only on the right gable. The left extension has a similar door with a replacement window above it. The rear elevation was not observed.

Inside, the building maintains its original layout, with stone fireplaces located at each end on the ground and first floors, and a stone staircase nearby. The interior details were not reviewed during the resurvey, and the information is based on the 1975 listing description.
