Description
The building is constructed with thick stone rubble walls, externally colour washed over rendering; Welsh slate gabled roof. The present building is of three storeys (originally of two storeys with loft above). Three bays, with a later two storey lean-to of one bay at south-west end. The street elevation has 2-light casement windows on the first and second floors, one at either end on second floor, three on first floor; 3 + 3 pane casements on the first floor, 4 + 4 on the second. The ground floor has a sash window with glazing bars and horns to left hand, 4 over 4 panes, centre doorway with flat dripstone and at the right hand end a shop window with 3 panes over 2, with the part glazed door to right of it. Low pitch roof, with a chimney surviving only on the right gable. The left extension has a similar door with a replacement window above. Rear elevation not seen.
The interior, which preserves its original plan, has stone fireplaces at each end on the ground and first floors and a flanking stone staircase, The interior was not seen at resurvey and the details are from the 1975 listing description.
