Description

These are a pair of houses built from coursed, rock-faced greenstone with a Welsh slate roof; the gable wall is rendered. They date from the 18th century and have two storeys and an attic. Each house has two bays, with a narrow entrance bay on the outside of the pair and a wider bay in the centre for the principal rooms, reflecting a double-depth plan with a rear service wing. A plain panelled door is accessed via a narrow entrance bay and has a paired light window above it. The ground floor windows are three-light mullion-and-transom designs. Above the doors is a two-light window, with a single-light window above the other ground floor window. All windows are plate glass sashes. Each house has an eaves dormer with a paired window and a hipped roof, and features a large brick central stack. The rear elevation is not visible. The entrance to the left-hand house is on the left. The interior was not inspected during a recent survey.
