Description
Milestone located south of Shittleheugh Bridge, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and painted white, standing approximately 1 foot high. The milestone has a triangular shape with a rounded back, which is now damaged. One side is inscribed with "NEWCASTLE," while the other side reads "JEDBORO 32 MILES 24 MILES."
