Description

This milestone, dating from the early 19th century, is located approximately a quarter of a mile north-east of Blakehopeburnhaugh. It is made of sandstone and painted white, standing about 2 feet high. The milestone has a triangular shape with a rounded back. One side is inscribed with "NEWCASTLE," while the other side reads "JEDBORO 38 MILES."
