Description

This milestone, located approximately a quarter mile west of Whitelee, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and painted white, standing about 2 feet high. The milestone has a triangular shape with a rounded back. One side is inscribed with "NEWCASTLE," while the other side reads "JEDBORO 44 12 MILES."
