Description

The Outer Golden Pot is a medieval crossbase, likely the base of a wayside funerary cross dedicated to Sir James Douglas, who was killed in the Battle of Otterburn in 1388. It is made of sandstone and measures 38 inches by 32 inches, standing 13 inches high with a rectangular socket.
