Description

This is a milestone located north-west of Bellshiel Bridge, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and painted white, standing approximately 2 feet tall. The milestone has a triangular shape with a rounded back, although it is now damaged. One side is inscribed with "NEWCASTLE," while the other side reads "JEDBORO 37 MILES 19 MILES."
